Blue Sky Aviation, Inc. was founded to provide a safe, reliable and efficient helicopter service to meet the needs of Central California. We provide helicopter tours in the Robinson R-44. The Robinson R-44 is one of the safest helicopters on the market today. All pilots are qualified by the FAA and highly experienced. Most of our pilots are flight instructors that teach in Blue Sky's flight training academy. We are passionate about aviation and love to share the thrill and adventure of helicopter flight with our guests.
There are many reasons to fly with Blue Sky Aviation, but we did our best to narrow the long list down to ten.
We're Green. Seeing the state of California from 500 feet above the ground is breath-taking, and it reminds us that we need to be environmentally conscious. That's why we chose the Robinson R-44. The helicopter uses a reciprocating (Non Jet) engine which means significantly less noise to disturb you and Mother Nature below.
We Share. We love flying, so when we take you to do what we love most, we want you to see all that California has to offer. The R-44 has bubble windows, so everyone gets a perfect view.
Our Pilots are the best. All of our pilots are FAA certified and have been extensively trained. They are passionate about aviation, so it's a pleasure to take you on an adventure. Most of our pilots are also teachers at Blue Sky's own training academy.
We are real. No games, no gimmicks. When you are in our helicopters, your knowledgeable pilot talks with you about what you are viewing. You have a microphone attached to your headset, so you can ask questions or simply talk to your companion during the flight. We can even isolate you and your companions from the pilot so you can speak privately if you choose! We believe in interacting, so you won't find any pre-recorded tracks here.
We're Safe. We have a perfect record when it comes to flight tours. Pilots are trained to fly no less than 500 feet above the ground and safety is always first. There is no need to worry when you are with us, just sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
We expect the best. We settle for nothing but the very best. When it comes to maintenance, we're meticulous. Our helicopters are maintained by FAA approved flight repair stations, and all the mechanics are trained by Robinson at the factory in Torrance where the helicopters are manufactured. We wouldn't have it any other way.
We give the best. When it comes to tours, we do our homework. We know all the spots you might want to capture on film and we know what you want to see. How? Because we want to see it. If it's not beautiful, we won't take you there.
We are smooth. We take off smoothly, glide through the air, and land just the same. Everyone who takes our tours always comments on how smooth our ride is compared to light airplanes. Don't worry about turbulence; its nothing but smooth sailing from here.
We're unique. We believe in creating tours that you will enjoy. We personally map out our routes to ensure you are getting the best view for your money. Not only do we map it out, but we fly it until we get it just right. There isn't one tour that we dont personally map out and fly before you do. Our motto is, if we don't want to see it, then why would you?
